Lightweight!! Amazing quality
I absolutely love this hat. The again you can’t go wrong with North Face. Amazing quality, lightweight, fits excellent, super comfortable and has helped me tremendously to get shade from the sun when I am outside. I have ended up buying another color. It definitely value for money. I have two now. I would have loved to get the Light Grey but the cost was just too much.

I’ve spent the last few Aprils spending time on desert hikes, I usually wear my big, floppy beach hat when I go. Unfortunately that hat isn’t secure, and I almost lost it a few times blowing off my head. So I needed an upgrade. I wasn’t particularly picky about color, and by description this one seemed to suit my needs. It fits PERFECTLY, not too tight or loose, I can secure it very easily with the slider piece, it can withstand wind, and light wetness. It’s super lightweight, easily rolls up into a tight bundle and fits in my bag without taking up a lot of space. It has a reasonable amount of sun protection, though I do miss the oversized brim of my floppy hat. That one is for poolside now.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Purchased this for my husband to use when he’s doing yard work to keep the sun off his scalp and out of his eyes. I am happily surprised that he also wears it when he golfs or goes to outside social events. He said it stays on very well even when it’s windy and is light for hot summer days. I purchased the large size and it fit well. Comfort:great, he typically never wears hats but happily wears this one all day Fit:size large was just right for the average adult man’s head Sun protection:great Size:excellent, he says the string tightens just enough

So…. I gotta admit. I was not sold on these hats. I always wore a baseball cap. But i am doing this review here Aruba. Its 90 degrees and Very intense sun. I actually have been going to this hat more and more. More then my baseball cap.It protects your lower neck, and ears. Also your face, with the brim. The top flaps in the front and rear can be turned up or down. When the front and rear flaps are turned up, you can feel the breeze on your head. Which is noticeable. When they are down you can tell too. It is a very good feature. I dont known why The North Face doesnt advertise that. I really like this hat. I think it serves its purpose. It does protect you. And its approved by the American Cancer Society!!! Thumbs up to The North Face!!!! Glad I purchased this hat.

Well made hat but not for small faces.
Was a very nice hat. Not a good sign when your husband bursts into laughter at the sight of you in the hat. I said “ what? Does this look stupid?” And he said just stupid enough.Too big for my small face.

Great beach hat, big head friendly
This is a great hat for beach wear. The brim is a little floppy, but it could be that i just fold it up when not in use. I can tell the construction and materials will last a long time. The openings around the hat allow a cool breeze to pass through the hat. I have a large head, and this hat fit very well.

Great Sun Hat for Backpacking
I needed a good sun hat for backpacking and this is perfect. It provides good sun coverage when hiking along exposed trails. It is light, comfortable and ventilates very well. I was surprised how comfortable it was when backpacking up steep hills. The brim is soft enough to mold to my backpack so that it doesn’t get pushed off my head but stiff enough not to flop in the wind. We camped by an alpine lake and the wind was 20+ mph at times and the brim didn’t flop around like many other hat’s I’ve used. It also folds down well to be stuffed in a side pocket of a backpack and flattens out well afterwards. I highly recommend.

Molto leggero e traspirante: il tessuto è in nylon (riciclato) con fodera rete e fascia interna “FLASHDRY-PRO” che allontana l’umidità — l’ho trovato davvero comodo nelle giornate calde o durante escursioni. • Protezione solare efficace: ha protezione UPF 40+ — secondo il produttore e le recensioni, è adatto per proteggere viso e collo durante lunghe ore al sole. • Facile da trasportare e “packabile”: è abbastanza flessibile, si può piegare e infilare nello zaino senza che si rovini — comodo per viaggi, trekking o camminate. • Vestibilità regolabile e comoda: grazie al cordoncino sotto al mento e alla chiusura regolabile, tiene bene in testa anche con vento o durante attività all’aperto. • Rapporto qualità/prezzo valido: per quello che offre (protezione solare, comfort, materiali durevoli e riciclati), secondo me rappresenta un buon investimento, soprattutto se cerchi un cappello tecnico senza spendere troppo.
