This is a real Kate Spade purse that has the proper markings for the genuine article.The fairly deep brown crinkle leather is so supple, smooth and being new has a wonderful leather scent. The scent doesn’t overwhelm but it does let you know that the bag is a high quality leather product.The purse is a large style bag, but when you slide it on your shoulder it fits like a glove. The straps length adjusts, but for me the position is perfect. There’s plenty of room to extend the strap. It doesn’t feel bulky or heavy when you use it. Of course weight will prevail once you fill up its very generous interior. It has a single zipper pocket. Enclosed is a satin bag for personal use.You just can’t go wrong with a high quality Kate Spade bag. It’s beautiful and will last a very very long time.

In review of this generously sized Kate Spade bucket bag, I feel that pictures are mostly louder than words!There are many fine areas where attention to detail shines through in this bag. I feel that’s particularly true in the unique finish of the supple leather,, the color is a warm and inviting hot chocolate but the finish is an icy crackle that sparkles unexpectedly in the light. Hard to capture, but I tried! The bag is generously sized with a smooth, satiny lining tat has two nice sized pockets for stowing things close to hand. You can see how easily most of my 32z (I believe!) water bottle stashes into one of the pockets. The top is open designed with no zipper or clasp. The hardware on the bag is another area where attention shines through, it’s smooth and shiny; big enough to call attention but simple enough to not be at all gaudy. The strap is adjustable from close to the shoulder to more of a casually slung tote. Overall, the size is small to mid size tote that can easily carry purse essentials along with on the go items such as a book or tablet, water bottle etc.The bag arrived very well packaged with lots of packing to keep everything looking its best. The included Kate Spade dust bag is folded into the bag, allowing for a nice gift presentation after the bag is unpacked.The overall effect here is classic, timeless convenience with style. This is a piece to love and carry for years to come!

High quality leather bag
I am not into brand names for the sake of the brand names, but I needed a new crossbody purse and KS has a reputation for high quality at a relatively reasonable price. This bag is bigger than I expected, but I’m quite happy with it. The leather is nice quality and all the stitching is tight and even. I got the color “hot chocolate” which is dark brown. The outer leather has kind of a crackle effect that reflects light interestingly and will probably hide scuffs better than a smooth finish. On one side the strap is attached to the metal ring (the “halo” that gives the bag its name) and on the other it is attached by two buttons that can be fastened to make the strap short or long. The bottom of the bag is an oval with no feet. The bag closes with one magnet so access is quick, but you don’t want to be turning the bag upside down or throwing it around – things will fall out. The liner is smooth twill in a dark red color. There are two small internal pockets, one a sleeve and one zippered – the rest of the bag is wide open. Given the size of the bag, I’d have preferred one more pocket on the opposite side of the other two, maybe a large pocket to keep a laptop or tablet from bouncing around in the bag. A pen loop would also have been handy, imo. The bag comes heavily packaged to protect it and includes a satiny storage bag for between uses. Overall this is a high quality leather bag as you’d expect from the KS brand. Maybe a little over-priced in my opinion, but in line with other name brands of this caliber. I anticipate it will hold up well for years to come.
