Best Coat I’ve Ever Had!!
This is the absolute best jacket I have ever bought! It has a strong metal zipper, lots of zippered pockets and an amazing hood. It is Soooooooo warm. I have never had a coat that kept me warm in the Maine winters. I am loving this. I can finally take my dog out and not shiver for an hour while she takes her time doing her business. I love the length, the weight, how it looks and it is waterproof. I have zero complaints and recommend it for anyone. It is also true to size.

This coat is AMAZING and truly keeps the extreme cold out
This coat is big, cozy, and warm. It’s like wearing a hug. The many features added to adjust for size and fit differences make this coat truly stand out. They made the difference of this coat fitting me when at first i thought it too small. Using the side zips for additional space (or making the coat more snug) and unsnapping the bilateral snaps by the front closure zipper made it work for me. And in colder weather, I re-snap the ones by the front closure zipper that adds a little more toast to its “toastyness”. The numerous pockets are essential for true winter coats. Who wants to carry a bag when it’s super cold outside? Not me, therefore, the pockets become priceless. The added zipper pulls make it very easy to open/close the pockets when one is wearing beefy hand coverings. The pockets for your hands are lined and very warm. The hood is large and beefy and makes it so one can forego a scarf, and sometimes even a hat. I live in Wisconsin and it’s currently 30 degrees below zero with the windchill. This coat is so warm, i would never guess the temp is this low. I’ve worn Lands’ End coats religiously my whole life, that is until i found this coat. It’s a true rival.With all of this praise, i do have some suggestions: add a double-zipper to the open/close front zipper. This is a crucial feature in cold weather environments and almost kept me from buying the coat. One needs the added comfort for sitting in the car, as well as being able to reach your pants pockets without having to unzip the coat completely. Then there’s the great hood, which some of the features that make it great also make it functionally difficult to wear. First, it’s so large and cumbersome that it interferes with your visibility while driving. You either have to take the coat off to drive (which is very cold until the car heats up) or deal with compromised visibility. Therefore, this hood should be removable. One can keep the interior edges and fringe of the hood much cleaner when it’s removable too, which means you can make the coat last longer. Also, since it is so big that you can forego a scarf, with a few added snaps and/or straps, then you could keep the hood from blowing off on windy days. Having to use one less article of clothing is a major plus, and this would be an easy additional feature to add. Actually, all of these suggestions are simple but very crucial to those of us who wear the coat day-in and day-out. A casual wearer might not be bothered as much by these features.

GO PICK YOUR FAVORITE COLOR AND BUY IT!
I have been waiting four long years to buy this coat. A sale popped up and she was mine for 99 dollars. I went with red/fur hood. Typically I don’t go for fur but it adds such a nice touch. GUYS THIS COAT IS ALL IVE EVER WANTED! Dont hesitate and grab your girl. She’s perfect, she’s warm, she’s comfortable, and she is style. I am 5 months pregnant and the zippers on the sides that offer more space are so generous!!! My fiancé said wow I’m so glad you go this it is such a nice coat. The inside has that shiny silver material that keeps you extra warm on the back! The fuzz on the hood is comforting like a little cloud! Anyways, I’m 5’3 and typically weigh 155 and I always go with large in coats because my shoulders are a bit wider and I like space and room for a sweater underneath my coats. I have gained weight with pregnancy and the large is still perfect!

Updated review: A great coat for an unbelievable price!
I have this coat and have enjoyed it for a few years. It was on Oprah’s Favorites List so I took a chance. It is a favorite coat to wear in the winter as it is warm and has a lot of convenient pockets. When this Amazon Prime Sale began, I decided to get one of these coats for my young adult daughter. It arrived and is NOT the same at all. First of the outside is of great quality so that isn’t the issue. It is good looking as it has always been. What is horrible is that the fill power down/feather is not as promised. There is hardly any fill and it is not consistent. When I mean hardly any, I mean that the coat is literally flat and not and has about a 2 in puffiness if you were using a 1-10 as a measure. Sure the price was great but for the way they made them-NOT AS PROMISED. I am done with these companies that have a hit and then pull back on the quality as the item still is selling like hotcakes based on past reviews. This is common on Amazon and I am sorry to say usually products from one particular country.UPDATE: I returned the coat and reordered for a smaller size. I also had contact with Orolay customer service. Since they didn’t accept an exchange they made sure that when I reordered that I got the same low price as was offered to me during the Prime sale. They also were concerned that I was unhappy with the first one sent to me. I have to say that the replacement is much more full with feathers than the first one. Once it is removed from the packing bag it is necessary to puff it up since it has been flattened. It resembles the one I ordered a few years ago but with a small exception. They could improve it with a bit more fill on the back just above the bottom. I think it needs more filling for the warmth this coat promises. The fabric and construction are excellent. The pockets have always been placed too high on the sides but that is something one can adapt to. The zipper as is typical is a bit tight so I always use something to make it move more smoothly. I would honestly say this is a great bargain. I have seen so many of these coats out and about. Lots of women who are pregnant say they bought it due to all the ability to let it out without alterations. There are side zippers and front snaps that open it up. Very versatile!

My new Orolay jacket arrived quickly and well packaged. The jacket puffed up soon after removing from its wrapping. It’s weighty, in a good way. I know it will keep me warm on those -20c days we get every winter.I ordered the XL after wavering between the L and XL. I am glad I did. The XL fits nicely but is not snug. I was concerned about my shoulders, which are broader than normal (swimmer). Measurements: hips 42” and bust 44” I have room for a sweater should I need one (I am confident I will not need one). It covers my butt and hits me mid thigh (I am 5’4”).The hood is massive and very fluffy / furry. It will keep my ears warm and toasty. The cuffs fit nicely and will keep the cold from making its way up my arms. The hand warming pockets are a bonus, especially with no zippers needed to access them.The zippers themselves are heavy duty and easy to adjust with one hand. Even the side flap zippers can be pulled up or down with just one hand. A two way zipper is the only improvement I can think of for this jacket.I bought this jacket for days when my longer, lighter, Columbia coat won’t be enough. I’m happy with my purchase and cannot wait to wear it this winter.

I had read about the coat on various NYC websites. How it was the uniform for the Manhattan and Brooklyn school run. Comfortable and stylish, but cheap. And then my sister, a mom on the UWS, bought one. I trust her opinion, so when she told me she loved it, I bought one for myself. (But in a different color than her, obvi.)I love mine. It’s like wearing a sleeping bag, it’s so cozy and so warm. It keeps me warm on English country walks or when I’m in London for meetings. The pockets! So many pockets for all my stuff. The hood is massive. When it’s up, I don’t get any rain in my face. When it’s down, it craddles my neck like a soft cushion.My only complaints: 1) it is a little narrow on my hips, but the size zips mean that I can adjust it. 2) it’s more expensive in the UK. I know that this only costs $100-120 in the US, but I spent 145 quid. If I had been traveling to the US anytime soon, I would have bought it from US amazon and had it shipped to my sister.Women of Great Britain, listen to us (former) New Yorkers. Buy The Coat.
