This is the best hat for sun protection
I bought one of these hats last year and I wear it every time I’m outside for long periods of time. It’s very lightweight and fits on my head comfortably. What’s also really nice is there is a spot for your ponytail. It’s functional and also has a flat that you can put down to keep your neck from the Sun. If you don’t want the flap down you can button it up and only have it halfway on your neck. It keeps my head cool and the sweat out of my eyes and also has a chin strap so it doesn’t blow away in the wind while you’re wearing it. I’ve also washed it several times and is held up great.

Another wonderful safari hat with a large rim and neck a protection that one can snap up to shorten the length of neck protection. Ture Khaki color that I expect, great sizing and fit, great space for hair to go through, just the right amount of flexibility, not too floppy or stiff, soft and comfortable on the head plus a great price. Beware of sizing
I love the hat overall but it’s too small. My head measured at 23.1 inches, which is within the range given for this product, and it was so tight it gave me an instant headache. Inner tag is labeled medium. The construction of the hat is good; love the back flap and LOVE the angle of the brim (large field of vision and covers my face in shade down to my chin). The chin strap is pretty flimsy but I didn’t want to use it anyway. Sadly have to return because I can’t fit the hat.

It is stylish and protects the neck, ears, and neck. It folds easy, if you need to pack it for a trip.I have a lot of hair, and it is nice that I could put it in a ponytail, and put my ponytail through the hole in the back of the hat. If I leave my hair down, there is enough space for all my hair to fit in the hat, and the hat still looks nice. Lastly if there is wind, the hat has a chin strap, so it won’t fly off.

I have long hair and wear a ponytail. This hat has a small opening in the back to pull the ponytail through so the hat can be snug on my head. The string ties are also helpful when it’s really windy. I like the light taupe colour. Fabric feels like good quality. Front rim provides good protection against sun as well. Comfortable.

I bought this hat primarily to keep the sun off my neck, and it does. I also wanted a wide brim so Icould keep the sun out of eyes while shooting my camera. However, the top of the hat has no body or stiffness to it. So it collapses to the top of my head which results in poor air circulation through the mesh panel. I still wear it.
