Pleasing enough for some uses, not perfect
I evaluated the gift basket myself first, then “gave” it to my wife and asked her to evaluate it as if it was a gift from someone without giving her any of my info or assessments.The presentation of this basket is great–I found it appealing and I think others will too because it is a pleasing color and arranged about as well as a relatively small and shrink wrapped basket could be. There is a bow and a gift tag you can fill out. The basket itself is a mixture of tough wire and woven fibers and it is strong and definitely reusable.There could be some confusion about the number of items. The listing says 9 but it seems to have 8. It’s “correct”, but the “rose petal soap” is a two-pack that is being counted as two items. Rest assured though, everything in the picture in the listing is there, so I consider it a harmless technicality–your recipient won’t know and therefore won’t care, and you’re not getting ripped off because overall the listing is correct. I have included my picture of what is in there, spread out on a table.I liked the unusual heart shape for the bath bomb. I smelled the things in bottles. The scents are not exactly the same on all of them, which is ok with me but should be noted. Rose scent is lighter than cherry left as is, and they seem to have tried to make up for that with a lot of rose scent, which on the one hand overwhelms the cherry scent but also prevents a “cherry candy” scent, leaving the cherry notes more sophisticated than they sometimes can be–it’s more like blossoms than it is like mysterious red candies. I liked the look of the “petal” things, but I didn’t see what to do with them–more on that below.So my wife’s evaluation of actually personally trying the items:1) Bath bomb works. You can even kind of position a piece of it on a shower ledge if you don’t have a bathtub and it will gradually dissolve a little like a shower steamer. However, it does cause a sort of “blood smear” down the side of the shower, which we found hilarious and which washed off easily by just directing the shower head at it for a few seconds. She liked the heart-shape vs. the usual ball shape.2) The shower gel comes out of the bottle a bit lumpy. Perhaps a person could shake it up hard, but such gels are usually more homogenous to start with. It is a little hard to get out of the bottle. It lathers very well and rinses clean. Some of the rose scent lingers on you after washing with it.3) The hand lotion is fairly normal hand lotion, feels and acts like any other. Mostly rose scent as detected by her but I liked the subtle notes of cherry that I could sense. The scent from the hand lotion does not linger long, which you might consider a plus or a minus but that’s what it did.4) The plastic scrubber/loofah/loop ball, etc. thing is like others but undersized to the point where she specifically said she prefers the “real” ones, presumably those things that are 3 for a dollar at the dollar store or 3 for $5 at the supermarket.5) The 2 rose petals appear to be useless other than perhaps as a decoration for women who put some soaps in a bathroom that are never really meant to be used. They are supposed to be soap but they do not dissolve and are more like someone molded scented crayons.6) Bubble bath was tested by using it like soap and by putting some in a container and swishing because there’s an issue with the bathtub not draining right. [First I learned this, I’ll have to fix it separately.]7) Bath salts. I don’t have a good feel for what these do, but they were reported to behave like others and to have a pleasant rose scent.8) The basket itself. Unusually substantial and “cute”. I asked if it will be kept and reused or kept to fill with toiletries etc., and what I was told is that it definitely could be, but she is not sure if she will or not.Overall, I think what we want to judge this as is “what will a person I give it to experience?” There’s nothing glaringly bad and there is nothing missing. (This has happened with past baskets I reviewed). The weakest link is the “flower petals,” which are useless but not all that important and do at least add decorative color to the basket as a whole. I think the person receiving it will be pleased but not overwhelmed or amazed. In some cases, that is actually a feature, because sometimes you do not want the person to think you spent too much on them, are trying to hit on them with gifts, etc., so this is not necessarily bad.I give this 4 stars because it is an acceptable gift for many situations even if it is not perfect–sometimes good enough is actually more perfect for the scenario.

This is a very small gift set with travel sized products. The whole thing, wrapped measures about 7 inch by 5 inch.The little basket is cute and will be useful for storing small items.The quality of the products is on par with dollar store products. Smells nice but not great quality.
