Effective But Annoying
This coaster does exactly I need it to do. There are 6 alarm times and a wide range of pre-set reminders and it can be very loud or a reasonable volume. The app is easy to navigate and connect.HOWEVER the voice is far too annoying and nasally. There is no option to turn off the voice except for two equally annoying alarms. Twinkle Twinkle or Lullaby. The tone of the speaker is tinny. I am recovering from a brain injury and it’s just too much. This would be a fantastic tool for elderly hard of hearing folks.I have included a partial list of the voice commands, which would have been perfect for me if I could stand the sound!

So much more than a hydration coaster!
This is so much more than a hydration coaster! I expected 1 cover (white with flowers) but was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with 2 different ones which you can switch between, if you want. You need to download an app to use it – there you can control and customize it’s many functions. And there are a lot of functions. You can use it to track water usage, indeed. But you can also use it as an alarm clock and reminder tool. You can set it to verbally remind you to take medicine, get ready for a meeting or appointment, get up to move around, etc. It “speaks” fairly loud even on the lowest volume setting, but it can be set to beep, play a tone or even be muted. It can flash colored lights (that you can set up) as a reminder too. I haven’t fully explored the details on how to do everything yet, but I am optimistic it can help me with multiple things throughout my day.

There Is A Step For Recording Cups Drunk
I have tried various ways to increase my water intake throughout the day with varying degrees of success. I figured I might as well add this option. The actual hydration coaster comes with two rubber covers that add some decoration to the set. They are designed to sit in a groove on the coaster for stability. You do not have to use the cover, but I am sure it helps protect the coaster underneath with the electronics. You can actually use the decorative covers by themselves as normal coasters. There is an app that you can install on your smartphone that allows you to control many functions of the coaster. The most important things to me were the ability to reduce, mute, or change the sounds and/or light functions. You do not need an account to use the app, which is nice. It uses Bluetooth to connect to the coaster. Besides reminding you to drink water at an interval you can set, it can also give you the current time and date, tell you how many cups you have drunk, and chime at the top of every hour with the current time. You actually do not need the app for the most basic functions, but I would definitely recommend getting it.The setup in the app is fairly straightforward, but I have still not figured out how it determines how many cups of water you have currently drunk. It’s not clear if it is assuming so many alarms equal a cup or what? At a certain point, it simply shows you have drunk a certain number of cups. There is actually a fairly large instruction paper, but it’s too basic. I did contact customer support, and they were very helpful and responsive with my questions. To record cups you drink during the day, you simply press the button until a blue light flashes on the coaster. This number resets at the end of the day, which you can set. You cannot do this while the coaster is flashing a reminder; you have to do it when it is not actively talking or flashing the reminder.I do like this coaster for reminding me to drink water, especially when I am playing video games. I wish the controls and overall function were explained a little more clearly, but so far, everything technically seems to be working well. One tip is that if the volume is still too loud even after turning down the volume to minimum, you can simply place a small piece of tape over the speaker on the bottom. The price is definitely great for what you are getting, even if you do not use the app.

Helpful Hydration Nudges—But the Voice Could Use Customization
This Smart Hydration Reminder Coaster does exactly what it promises: it reminds you to drink water with a combination of flashing lights and voice alerts. The lights are vibrant and hard to ignore, and the voice prompt—while effective—isn’t exactly pleasant. It’s a bit jarring, especially in quiet settings, and I really wish there were a simple way to turn it off or adjust the volume.Functionally, it’s a great nudge for anyone who forgets to hydrate during work or study sessions. The coaster activates reliably and definitely grabs your attention. However, it doesn’t track how many glasses you’ve consumed, which would’ve made it even more useful for goal-setting or habit-building.Overall, it’s a clever tool for hydration reminders, but a few tweaks—like a voice toggle and tracking feature—would take it from good to great

Not ready for prime time
The voice is loud and obnoxious. A big improvement would be allowing one to record their own reminders. We’d gladly pay more for that. The coaster alarm does not stop when you lift glass, but requires extra step to turn it off.It has no way of accurately counting how much a person is drinking.

Lifesaver for Staying Hydrated!
This Smart Hydration Reminder is an absolute game-changer! I work from home, have ADHD, and juggle two kids, so staying on top of my water intake is tough—but this makes it so easy. The coaster-style tracker with voice and light alerts gently reminds me to drink, and it’s surprisingly motivating.Setup with the app is simple, and once it’s set, it even works offline. The rechargeable design is super convenient, and the coaster looks sleek on my desk without taking up much space. I’ve noticed a real difference in my hydration and overall energy since using it.If you struggle to remember to drink enough water, this device is a must-have. Highly recommend!

It’s not as good as I thought
I charged it and used it as I suppose to.My “Coolfire” does not work well: it does not keep track how much water did I drink. I also can’t go back to the previous days.If I press the bottom in the middle it says the time. Lights are flashing as reminders. It flashes / reminds me every 30 minutes. It came with 2 covers (flowers and hummingbird). In conclusion I am disappointed.
