Love, love, LOVE these boots! I’ve always wanted a pair and am happy with them now that I finally have them. Totally did not realize they were steel-toe boots when I bought them (they were on sale for 30% off!) so that was a nice bonus to discover when I tried them on the first time. They’re snug around the ankle, easy to get on and off, stylish and sturdy, AND I get an extra three inches of height too! Two complaints. First is that the fit is a little loose (I’m a size 7 and ordered a size 7), but wearing a pair of thick socks, or two pairs of thin socks, makes them fit perfectly. Not a big deal considering they’re my fall/winter boots for work, and I intended on wearing thick socks with them anyway. Second, the elastic on the outside of the right boot is already starting to fray 🙁 I didn’t realize that that was “a thing” common to the Chelsea boots after Doc Marten switched manufacturers, so to say I’m bummed is a bit of an understatement. I bought them in September 2022 and it’s now the beginning of November 2022, so it only took about 2 months of consistent wear for the fraying to start.JAN 2025 UPDATE: These boots are still amazing! The fraying on the side has not changed or gotten worse over the years, and I’ve worn them way more often than just in the fall/winter (they’re super cute with ankle socks and sundresses in the summertime FYI). I purchased the official Doc Marten sole inserts, and now they fit PERFECTLY and I can wear them year-round comfortably. Also, there was never a breaking-in period with these boots, they were perfectly comfortable from the get-go.

They are absolutely stunning! They look beatiful and flattering, but the best part its that they are really comfortable, i could walk with them for hours. Didnt need to break them, fit really well. They do run a little big, im usually size 7 or 7 1/2, i have wide feet so i didnt listen to the reviews, and bought size 7 as usual. However, if you’re going to use them with thick stockings, for cold weather, and have wide feet like i do, they will be fine. But if you’re not, then probably is better to size down.

Different than other doc martens
While I think these boots are cute I’m not so sure they are my favorite. I do have 5 other styles in my collection, ( 1460 Pascal leather, 1460 Smooth leather, Audrick platform, white 2976 chelsea platform, and the Jadon platform ). I wear a size 9.5 or 10 in other boots but, ALWAYS a size 9 in doc martens. While the Rometty size 9 fits there are significant differences compared to my others. This boot is much wider than the others and sizing down to an 8 would not work length wise. Either wearing thicker socks or adding insoles would solve that problem but, these have really soft leather that might stretch far too much over time. Even though the shoes are wider they have a narrowed silhouette in the toe box which I dislike visually compared to the other styles. This leather will crease very easily due to the pliable leather. This does not bother me. The sole seems to be different as well and I’m not sure it is as durable. I guess I’m still on the fence about keeping them. I have absolutely NO trouble putting them on or off and know there is NO break in time for a leather as soft as this. I did receive these in the original box with natural leather striations . While the price is reasonable for the Rometty I may just have to spend another 100 for the black Chelsea platforms as my white ones are just AWESOME !!! Have in fact decided to keep these. They do look amazing with the right clothes. Hopefully the elastic goring on these boots will stand up to the test of time. It does not appear to be near as sturdy as on the quad 2976.

Very comfortable and supportive, don’t let the smaller opening get you down, they stretch!
I have plantar fasciitis and was looking for something that would be stylish, fun, and super comfy without giving me foot pain. I was a little hesitant when they arrived, because I REALLY had to force my foot into the boot since they don’t unzip or anything, and I was so disappointed. After much tugging and several deep breaths, I was able to get my feet into the boots. I decided to walk around the house in them to see how they felt, which was instantly comfortable. BUT, I dreaded talking them off as I wasn’t sure if I could get them back on again! I was very near packaging them back up and returning them, but I decided to try again the next day to see if they had stretched out at all after wearing them around the house. Thankfully, they had! I was so happy! A few weeks in now, and I have worn them standing all day, shopping all day, (they were great on icy snowy sidewalks for grip and keeping my feet dry and happy) and they feel great! The opening has stretched out perfectly so I can pretty easily get them on and off! I do suggest wearing at least crew length socks so they don’t rub on your shins before they are broken in. These do add quite a bit of height, and make me (at 5’10”) tower over my (also 5’10”) husband, but I’m trying to embrace it. 😉 I wear a size 10, have wide feet, and very high arches, and these have the perfect amount of room!

Son demasiado hermosas. Como ya comentaron en otras opiniones, son pesadas pero curiosamente no me lastiman o cansan.Estaban con promo del buen fin una talla más arriba de la que uso. Tengo varias Doctor en número 6 de UK pero si las quería con promo eran solo en 7 UK (talla 26 MX) y pensaba usarlas con plantilla o calcetas gruesas, pero me quedaron perfectas. Pienso que al ser modelo para mujer son más estrechas y considero que en mi caso no me hubieran quedado bien las 6 UK (qué sería 25 en Mexico). Incluso de largo, me quedaron perfectas con espacio suficiente pero no grandes. Las volvería a comprar, son las primeras que tengo sin agujeta y sin una delicia, ojalá saquen en más colores.

I often size up in most footwear because I have quite wide feet- however with these boots, having read other reviews I was hesitant to buy “true to size” (I’m typically an 8-8.5) and went with a size 7. Glad I did- these boots definitely fit a size larger than what you’d normally buy, so the 7 is perfect! If you’re still unsure I would recommend trying on a pair of Docs in a similar style at a local store to get an idea of what you’re dealing with.End of the day very happy with the style and fit, and they’re comfortable enough to wear all day!

I love them, year ago ordered on Dr. Martens site but DHL delivery failed so I was upset, had money back and had neder ordered it again. When I saw them on Amazon I directly knew I want to order, took three days and I am a happy owner. I am thinking to order one more pair LOL
