Lightweight and perfect coverage
For the price, this is an excellent hat! It’s very light weight. I was worried it would be too big, but it’s not. It’s the perfect size for my head. I’m 5’3″ and female. It has a little room and is comfortable, while still being tight enough to my head that it doesn’t move around. I love the fact that the side is detachable. It completely puts your face in the shade without being too heavy or making you sweat more. I love it! I’m allergic to the sun and break out in hives horribly every time I’m outside and having this allows me to go into my garden without having to worry. I plan on ordering a few more now that I’ve seen how it fits. Definitely recommend!

Headphones fit under this nicely! Great hat!!
I was originally looking for a sun hat that I could wear headphones with. Can’t mow the lawn without tunes 🙄 ok it’s over an acre. 🥸So it came today and it’s not quite as large as the picture but still a large & nice hat. My plan was to partially cut the mesh & stick my headphones through, but I didn’t need to do that. Hat fits over the headphones, and fits pretty good, so no cutting, & the drawstring is perfect. Unknown to me I got the perfect hat I was looking for!Now that I’ve worn it a few times, I really love it! Light, cool, my head doesn’t get burned, the headphones fit great, just a great hat!

Dopey looking but works great
9 bucks! Well, okay..I now have to protect my skin from the sun while working outside the house or generally anything that exposes me.This is the second hat I purchased with neck/side of face ‘curtains’ for lack of better term.These have good dome covering and with barely adequate side ventilation afforded by coarse mesh above each ear.I no longer have ‘long’ hair so I do not need to ponytail out the back. The first hat had this feature, but the second (this) hat does not have such provision. It does sort of but not easily done.The first hat I bought had the curtain sewn onto the hat (not removable) but no brim on the back so the fabric curtain tends to lay on your neck, making it a hot blanket of sorts, and led me to purchase this second hat which I prefer wearing it over the other because the curtain on brim back tends to keep away from the back of my neck.This hat has a 360 degree, wide brim so the fabric curtain hanging down stays away from your neck, helping to keep cool. The brim is about 1/8″ thick and seems to be a sewn material-covered foam sort of sheet. Not exactly rigid.The one-piece curtain is removable via snaps. Since the curtain covers roughly 240 degrees of the brim circumference, it partially obscures the peripheral vision but this can be altered using the snaps.Add to this a rechargeable neck fan and you have a nirvana setup!The hat is made of very light and soft synthetic (polyester?) material (mine was all light grey) and was packaged in a large flat.Remarkably dinky for the size and easy to spindle, fold and stuff into a pocket. The fit is adequate for all size noggins, due to an adjustable drawstrap. The sweatband is same synthetic material and maybe not very absorbent to perspiration and perhaps resistant to sweat rot.In windy conditions the curtains tend to flap around.. somewhat annoying but tolerable. This could be minimized by trimming the length of the curtain? Or maybe fishing sinkers, hmm.. probably not a good idea there.I feel kind of dumb wearing this goofy hat.It does seem to attract funny looks, but bollocks to them.. I’m no fashionista and NOT getting sun burnt!

Good coverage, great price
My husband loves this hat. He works outside a lot and needed sun protection for his face and neck. Sunscreen was problematic because it would run into his eyes when he would sweat. This hat gives great coverage and fits his big head, lol! Good quality, great price.

Best hat that I have found. I just wish they would not fold it in half in vacuum sealed packages.
It covers well while mowing multiple large yards in the very hot summer. The back cover should be a little longer than it is. Great straps to tighten around head to adjust this hat to smaller heads. I wish there were more colors. Good value. I wish they didn’t fold the hat because there are always bends in the brim that won’t straighten out. Lightweight.

Canopy around your head!
I wear this while I maintain our Little League Baseball field. This hat fits my head comfortably (I wear a size 7-1/2 hat) with a tiny bit of room to spare. The side shade keeps the rising and setting sun from beating up my ears and face. The cap in the back protects your neck. The hat breathes well and sweat evaporates easily. When I walk through sprinklers and work in the rain this hats protects the head and dries easily. It folds flat for storage and has a wide brim which helps partially protect your shoulders from overhead sun. For the price I really like this hat and would definitely get another if I lost this one. Durability seems to be good. I’ve machine washed this a couple time already and it still looks brand new. This is lightweight and a decent wind blew this hat off of my head but the string/strap did its job and kept it from blowing away.

Quality and light weight protection
Initial impressions were that this was a quality product. Flaps are detachable and light weight which is nice as it doesn’t make the hat feel heavy. Having the adjustable brim tightness is a nice feature for a more snug fit. I am someone with a larger head and this fit comfortably. The flaps on the side also protect against the wind which can either be good or bad depending on how you look at it. Hat is overall lightweight and did a great job at blocking the sun from above and the sides.Neck is well protected and should not incur any sunburns. Will update once I have used it for a bit longer for longevity but wanted to put my initial impressions with you! Have a blessed day <3

The most awesome hat for gardening, fishing or any outdoor activity. The hat is comfortable and breathes, the attached neck protection can be removed, but provides really good sun coverage. The hat doesn’t blow off even in strong wind. Love it so much. Saved me from sunburn so many times in the garden.
