Moonstone gift
I purchased this as a gift for my niece graduating high school. You know how challenging it can be to give a personal gift that can be appreciated by someone of another generation. This felt like the perfect gift, a moonstone to help bring calmness and clarity. I was pleasantly surprised to see it came packaged in what appeared to be a small book wrapped with a bow. The necklace appeared in a package as shown on the page, including the inspirational quote. However the picture of the actual stone didn’t quite capture the lovely reflection that moonstone are known for. The setting was well placed to show off these facets and the silver necklace matched nicely. The necklace itself is of a fine grade, so in time may need to be replaced by one of a denser grade. Over all we both were well pleased by this purchase.

A little disappointed
It is a pretty necklace, and a high quality chain. I was a little disappointed because it is smaller than it appears even in pictures. The stone is also quite transparent. I thought it would be a bit more opaque. I don’t like how you can see the silver frame through the stone. I have real moonstone which is a very high quality, I don’t think this is real. But it’s still dainty and pretty and meets the need of what I wanted.

I purchased a necklace that had the same listing photo from a different seller and was really disappointed. I paid around $27 for the necklace and the crystal was absolutely not moonstone. It was cloudy white with sparkles in it. I actually think it was white calcite. No stamp on the pendant either. It was pretty but I wanted a genuine rectangle moonstone pendant. So I returned it and decided to try this one out! I didn’t want to pay the asking price but figured it would be worth a shot. The moonstone IS GENUINE! I have many moonstones from all over. I have grey moonstone and rainbow moonstone. This one is rainbow moonstone. Moonstone is actually a clear white color with fractures sometimes and sometimes clear. Depends on the stone size and value. You actually only see the blue flash on moonstone when the stone catches the light just right. That’s what makes it attractive because of the change in color from different angles. This stones clear with some fractures, a very good blue flash. I can see it in other reviewers photos even when they’re missing it. The bail is stamped 925 and so is the chain! Definitely recommend this necklace above the others on here. This one is the real deal! 🩵

I never leave review but this needed one. This is false advertising. Its not a real moon stone gem. Sadly you could easily find this at your local store for way less. Would have been worth the price only if it would have been real moon stone.

One way to tell if the stone is precious is by touching it. If it’s slightly cold then it’s genuine. This stone feels warm so it’s probably cut glass or synthetic

I have no idea where all the stars came from for this item as this necklace is seriously a joke. Save your money. The dollar store sells better stuff than this junk. The item did come in a box, a cheap one…. but the cheap necklace does not at all match the advertised representation at all.
