I have three coworkers with toddlers and a new baby. The toddler parents were discussing the difficulties of keeping kids safe and secure in shopping carts without having to grab them before they fell out while reaching for groceries. I remembered that I had an old hip-hugger belt from back in the day that we used for all five of our kids, and that other parents of young children frequently approached us asking about. It was white leather, with double holes end to end, and it was truly a godsend. Needless to say, I gifted each of my coworkers one of these belts.Before scoffing at this admittedly unusual use, or thinking it unnecessarily extreme, consider that Shopping Cart accidents account for more than 25,000 child injuries per year, many of them very serious or even fatal.Advantages of a belt such as this:- end-to-end holes make it infinitely adjustable- placing the buckle behind the child keeps it out of their reach- double holes make it harder for a child to unlatch if they should reach it — and for strangers as well- while not quite as wide as my original ‘hippie’ belt, the width and softness of the leather make it reasonably comfortable- fancy seat covers are more appealing, but easy for mobile children to wiggle out of- built-in shopping cart straps, well…Please consider purchasing this product to keep your children, grandchildren, or friends’ children secure and safe in shopping carts.

Very happy with it, just what I needed. Very versatile, it’s great if you have a mixed selection of jeans (high rise, mid rise, low rise). Practically don’t leave the house without it anymore. Great quality for the price! It’s just a nice lowkey belt that has a great variety of adjustability.
