I’ve tried eight different brands — this one is the best for me.
If you tend to wake up a few hours early being short on sleep, yet have trouble getting back to sleep, try a sleep mask! They work like magic for me. — better than any pill! I must have thin eyelids, because when it’s dawn and my eyes are closed, I see orange, (my wife sees black). A sleep mask quickly gets me back into a deep, satisfying sleep, as though it were midnight. (It also gets me into a deeper, more productive sleep during limited timeframe naps.) It’s like putting a cover over a birdcage, (birds automatically sleep/wake-up when you cover and uncover their cages, like a light switch.) I swear by sleep masks when I need deep, effective sleep within a limited timeframe. I’ve tried eight different brands — this one is my favorite, so I’ve bought two more. It has a decent 1/2 inch elastic band, is the fuzziest and most comforting, fits most comfortably, and most effectively blocks light leaks/diffusion. (Also feels warm and cozy in the winter, yet is still good for summer.)

Ultimate comfort and light blocking
I finally found this brand on Amazon! My previous mask from this brand was at least 5 years old and the elastic band was nearly completely stretched out. What I really like is how soft the inside is so that it easily conforms to the shape of your face. When mine needs a washing, I put it in a mesh bra bag and put it through the washer and dryer with compatible clothing.

Good for the light-sensitive sleepers
$8?! What a price! Very convinient and handy for travel as well. They are nice and comfy, and I like that they’re adjustable. My only precaution would be if you have pets- they will acquire cat hair pretty quick and become itchy. Just a simple clean would take care of that. I like them a lot.

I will never be without this. I have purchased several of these to ensure I can always find one. It is very comfortable and is great at blocking light. I’ve tried several other masks and this is by far the best one.

After a few nights of use I am indeed very pleased. I LOVE that the clasp is not velcro. Instead it is a well-made insert clasp, and is fully and easily adjustable. This means that as the masks is worn and the straps begin to wear, you’ll still be able to tighten it to comfort.The mask itself is very soft and is made with a cushiony row of padding on the interior, right above where your nose would fit. This cushion does an excellent job of keep out light, and also raises the mask in such a position as to pad around your eyes rather than squishing them. I mean I see *nothing,* even when using it during the day. I’m not sure I would describe the fabric as “velour,” as the description does, but it is very light, soft, and comfortable.I deducted one star because of the incredible lint-attracting qualities of the fabric. I mean this thing picks up lint like no other. I’d rather have the exterior neutral-toned than change the fabric in any way, and the only colors I saw for this mask were both dark, so I’m not sure that is avoidable.All in all, great comfort for great sleep. I would definitely repurchase.

Excellent product!
This product works great. They eventually wear out, but I’ve been using them for 9 years now and they make a huge difference in sleeping well.I work 3rd shift. People who work 3rd’s are more likely to get cancer because lack of sleep really knocks down the immune system. I use these so it’s dark and I can get solid sleep. I leave a light on; when my alarm goes off, I raise the mask and the light helps me wake up easily and quickly. Unlike most masks, these have a sort of cushion along the bottom. This blocks light from coming in at the bottom, next to the nose. It makes all the difference in the world! Also, the black ones block light better than the colored ones. Those are pretty, but, to me, it’s about getting good sleep and the black masks are just darker.

Great for smaller faces/head
I used a Dream Essentials eye mask for years (different ones), but always had an issue with it coming off during my sleep. My face is rather small, I’m a 5’2 inch woman weighing about 125 to give some reference. While I love the Dream Essentials mask for it’s great coverage, I had it pulled to tightest it would go, and after some wear and washings, it simply stretched out and was too big. I bought this Lewis N. Clark thinking I’d give it a try. It’s much cheaper than the Dream Essentials, and I’m really glad I tried it. It’s got a small, plastic clip in the back to tighten. When I saw this, I was a little nervous as to how well it will hold up, hopefully for a while! I can pull the strap tight enough and the clip is slim and unnoticeable when laying on my back. It lets in ZERO light, just what you need in a sleep mask. I also like that there’s no elastic on the sides like the Dream Essentials to get stretched out. It’s very soft and comfortable. I’ll post later if I notice any stretching out/negative wear. Save yourself some $$ and get this one!****I’ve been using the mask for a few months now. I still like the way it fits and the coverage it offers. BUT, I have to say, IT STAINS EVERYTHING! The outside of the mask is navy blue, while the inside (the part that covers your eyes) is black. The blue side has stained my pillow case, my sheets, and bed comforter! I’m not sure why or what kind of die they use, but I now have one sheet set that I’ll use because I don’t want to ruin anymore sheets and pillow cases. This has made me very disappointed in the product. For that, I’d take away 2 stars. It does what it’s intended to do, but who wants to ruin their bed linens? Oh, and I have washed it a couple of times thinking this would help, no such luck.

However, this mask is far superior to any of them.Pros-My bedroom gets extremely bright with direct sun at sunrise, this mask actually blocks direct light completely with no bleeding through-the strap is easily adjustable even while half asleep with one hand-Comfortable enough for regular useCons-quite thick and heavier than the average mask, which is not really a problem for me but may be for those who want to use it while travelling

I have been trying to find a good sleep mask for a while…and this is it! And, it comes with 2 masks. Great value, incredible comfort. I like the adjustable and comfortable strap that allows me to adjust the pressure on the eyes. It really was a pleasant surprise to find such a great mask for a great price. Highly recommend this one.

Was a pain to find a high quality sleeping mask with all the generic brands out there — I can definitely recommend this one. The inside is soft and padded and the larger section at the bottom of the mask helps keep light out around the nose, at least for me. The outside nylon feels like the material on a sleeping bag and the stitching holding it in place makes the mask feel sturdy, unlike the masks where the edges aren’t protected allowing the outer layer to peel off. The lack of buckles on the side mean it’s comfortable to side sleep on and the rear clasp is sturdy. Overall I’m very happy with the mask and I think it will work well for a multi-month camping trip I’m planning.
