Hype Worthy For Me
I purchased this the end of November. The mini size had a little bit of a discount happening and I had been wanting to try for a while. Like any other foundation brand you might purchase online, choosing the shade can be a little overwhelming. In a sense I lucked out a bit that my first pick ended up being my match. For reference my skin is light-medium. Neutral undertones/golden. I usually find it fairly difficult to find a shade match in foundations whether they are drugstore or high end. I am on the lighter side of light-medium. I have learned over the years that the foundation shade “shell”(even though it’s not totally universal) is a good hint that something is going to work for me. A sand shade is typically a little too beige and a little too dark. Ivory shades are a little too light and lean pink. Again, this isn’t gospel. This has just been my experience and so I know my own buzz words as far as shades. I went with shell in the mini and it is a perfect match. Just placed my order for the full-size in this shade today. I have normal/combination skin. No skin issues or anything that requires heavy coverage. This didn’t oxidize on me. It really does give a flawless look for your skin. The coverage is nice. Not too heavy, not too light. If you’re used to doing something light like a tinted moisturizer, this is something that gives more coverage but doesn’t feel stifling on the skin.

Finally found my perfect foundation
Let me start by saying I have the WORST skin: acne, rosacea, eczema, scars, large pores, fine lines & wrinkles & I’m very pale with red/pink undertones. It was oily in the past, but now that I’m in my 40’s it’s very dry. Finding full coverage makeup that doesn’t highlight all the texture & dryness on my face has been so difficult, I was about to give up. But this one is almost perfect; I have been using it for about a month & tried it with different combos of moisturizers, primers, setting powders & sprays. Without a setting product it doesn’t stay in place & it’s too shiny for my taste. I found that oxidation tends to occur if skin is really dry, or when used with the “wrong” setting powder. Yesterday I moisturized with COSRX Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream, did not use primer, & finished with Kimchi Puff Puff Pass Setting Powder. OMG! Full coverage, minimal texture, no transfer, & it lasted ALL day without oxidation, creasing, settling or breaking down. I didn’t care for the Kimchi powder when I used it with other foundations, but it is perfectly paired with TIRTIR Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation. Also, a little bit goes a long way with this foundation; you have to be careful not to press the applicator into the sponge too hard or you will have way too much & it will look very cakey. Use a gentle tapping/pressing motion when applying to your skin & it will blend beautifully. I will definitely continue using this foundation for as long as it exists.

I honestly think this has to be the best foundation ever. I have spent so much money on foundations. I have oily/combo skin and I like a full coverage foundation that is long wearing and lightweight. I have an issue with most foundations that aren’t matte that they basically slide off my face by midday and I’m an oily mess with patchy makeup.For years, I’ve been using Too Faced Born This Way 24hour matte foundation which is really matte. I’ve been on the hunt for something a bit more lightweight that would work better on my textured skin. As I’ve aged (39) matte foundations have started to accentuate my fine lines and pores and I’ve wanted to find something that looks a bit more natural.Enter Tir Tir cushion foundation. I am honestly blown away by how beautiful this foundation makes my skin look. It blurs pores, doesn’t settle into fine lines, it’s lightweight and lasts forever. It’s so convenient for travel. You can wear it without a setting powder if you want a nice glow or lightly powder for a more matte finish.This foundation also works so well as an undereye concealer. I have troubles finding a good concealer because I have genetically dark under eye circles and I also have fine lines that make most concealers crease. I was using Tarte Shape Tape which has amazing coverage but I was finding it made my under eyes look dry and the formula can be hard to work with because it dries so quickly. Well this Tir Tir foundation works SO well as a concealer. I’m so impressed. This foundation is amazing and it’s going to save me both time and money as well.Absolute Holy Grail foundation. No joke. Give this foundation a try.UPDATE: I had a previous update here where I took a star off because the foundation dried very quickly in the compact but it seems this was only specific to that one compact so it must’ve not been sealed properly. I have not had that issue since so I’m returning my review to a full 5 stars.
