Easy change filters
Purchased these replacement filer for my whole house filter system. I have well water and I was tired of the smell, taste and the look of dirty rusty water. These filters do a great job of cleaning up the water, I changed the filters at 6 months, next time I’ll change them at 4 months. These filters were direct replacement, I cleaned out the canisters and made sure the seals and o-rings were clean. They were easy to change, used the filters at wrench tool to loosen and tighten the canisters. Make sure after your turn your water back on be you bleed out the air by pressing the red button on top of the canister.

These filters are much better than the Whole House Heavy Duty Big Blue String Wound Replacement Cartridge, 10″ x 4.5″, 5 Micron, White. They last longer and at a better price.

These water filters go several months for us without needing to be replaced. They are a great value. They fit in the housing perfectly. There are never any leaks so we know the water we are drinking is pure. For our family of three, one set of filters lasts about three months. When there were four of us, we had to replace about every two months for optimal pressure. We have been using these filters in our current set-up for over two years. We have not had any issues. The water quality is excellent and will filter about 8k-10k gallons of water depending on the quality of the water you are filtering.

My well water has moderately high Manganese (Tested at 0.210 Mg/L). After one month of use, I do not believe it has significantly reduced the Mn . Still have evidence of staining which typically occurs at levels above 0.05, but have not had it re-tested. I do not have high iron or any other minerals/contaminants/odour/taste/discolouration, so I cannot comment on their effectiveness in that regard.Otherwise, the quality of construction and materials appears to be very good.
