I have several of these types of hats at this point and this is by far the best in my collection now.To start, all of my other hats like this have a Velcro closure at the back which tends to wear out over time, rendering the hat useless. This hat has an adjustable elastic band with a snap and lot closure. Not only does it close securely around my head, but if I have my hair pulled up in a bun or ponytail, I can easily adjust the strap to accommodate rather than having to reposition the hat, so the closure is above or below my hair like with my other hats.Similar to my other hats, it has the same feature where I can easily roll it up and toss it into my bag. This makes it incredibly easy to keep a sun hat on hand throughout the day, and you never know when you might need one.The rim of the hat, like my others, has bendable material in it so you can fold and shape it however you’d like. But with this hat, I find the rim easier to bend compared to my other hats, and definitely easier to even out and get a smooth edge around the rim.I also like the fabric this hat is made from. It’s woven like a straw fabric as pictured, but it’s also pliable and soft, and doesn’t make a scratchy, dry, hay-like sound when rolling it up.Something that isn’t mentioned in the product description is that the interior band around the top of the hat has two small elastic hoops attached to it, which I believe is to add a chin strap if that’s something you want to do.As for the color, I ordered this in pink, and I would describe this as a very pale salmon, or like the fabric is tinted with very light pink. It’s understated and pretty, but to my eye, not as pink as what’s in the product images.Finally, for the price, this puts it in the same range as the other hats I have like this, but with much better quality. I’d definitely re-order this in another color when the time arrives to do so.

Fraying right out of the package and unraveling. Bummer. The snap/clasp is one of the best I’ve seen. Very easy to put on and take off – better than velcro that catches all your hair and snags it. It arrived all folded up and seems like the creases are fairly permanent. The color is a pretty blush color. Overall the quality is not great, but it will serve it’s purpose for a beach trip and because the cost is so reasonable it won’t be the end of the world if it gets tossed after.

I really like this straw hat because it can fold, making it easy to tuck into my bag. I wear hats to protect my face from getting sunspots so this will make it convenient for travel. I like it that i can put down the hat and fold it when needed. The weaves are intricate and done well. At first, I didn’t really like that it’s a bit thin, but I realized being thinner helps me to tuck it away in my purse easily. It eliminates bulkiness, while useful when I need it. The color is also perfect for my liking! It matches all my summer dresses!My only complaint is that the hat had a few lines from the folds. I own many hats and they are flowing and wrinkle free. Of course, this hat does unbutton to fold, so being able to fold it will cause for some winkles to occur. I’m hoping that the wrinkles will soften up and go away over time. It’s not really a big issue for me. Overall, I am very happy wit it!
