Still the perfect hat for me 1 year after I bought it!
Doesn’t crush, always looks great (stylish- I get compliments regularly) and I feel like my neck, chest and head are always protected from sun!

Nice face coverage
The band to the hat and the center of the fitted brim are offset slightly. When worn, it looks slightly off center. Bugs me. However, it is comfortable and keeps my faced shaded as desired. The trim inside the brim is soft, not scratchy like another hat I tried. Overall good quality.

Perfect Hat for Style & Sun Protection!
I bought this hat for a friend before our trip to the Caribbean—I wanted something that would protect her from the sun but still look great in photos. Honestly, I was second-guessing my purchase when it arrived because it didn’t impress me at first. But once she put it on… wow! It looked amazing and completely changed my mind. Super happy with the quality and overall look. Will definitely be buying from Coolibar again!

Too small
Cute hat, nice color and seemed good quality, but too small for my head. I have a pretty standard head (7 1/8”-7 1/4”). It’s definitely not a “one size”, more of a small/medium women’s hat. Bummer.

I do NOT have the complaints as others posted in these reviews.It arrived in good condition; NOT crushed.The bead holds the stampede strings tight.The weave is NOT itchy; in fact it is quite soft, and if you read the label there is a “proprietary fabric” embedded giving the highest possible sun protection available.Also, since the weave is very tight (with close, tight stitching); less light gets through, and less fraying.I worried that the “ONE SIZE” would still be too big for me (I am petite), but the hat lays nicely, and you have an “inner band” adjustment if needed.The crown is also lined – giving good protection too.What is not to like?Saves me sunburn AND wrinkles!!!!

Not as expected
Unfortunately, this hat came in a loose bag and was not shaped well. I was unable to fix it, so it completely sat floppy. Additionally, you cannot make any other shape than mostly a flat wide-brim. My first time trying Coolibar of which seems to be dominating the UPF clothing world so I was excited. Going back to the tried and true ‘Sunday Afternoons’ brand that I can hike in and paddle. If it falls in the water, it dries and its easily able to be shaped. Sorry Coolibar, I tried … Pretty color and nice looking stitching though.

I am a hat person
This is my first Coolibar product, but I will probably try out more of their gear. I recently had eye surgery and needed something wide brimmed that didn’t cause me to overheat. This hat isn’t inexpensive, but it is worth the cost imo. Although it says, “one size fits most” there is an adjustable band inside that helps tighten the circumference a little bit. The bucket not so deep that the hat looks ridiculous, but deep enough to pull down effectively providing shade over even my shoulders and chest. I like that this hat has an adjustable chinstrap, and can hang on my back if needed. The hat material doesn’t look cheap, but the band and chinstrap are faux leather, and when looking closely that is apparent. I have replaced bands and straps on other hats to improve them and will probably do the same with this one. I have worn this hat for several days while gardening in 90°+ and have not felt overheated. Overall, it is exactly what I was looking for, great sun protection without causing my head to cook.
